Welcome to the 2014 PODER Business Awards: Women in power

The 2014 PODER Business Awards celebrate excellence and leadership in the Americas by recognizing those men and women who have demonstrated remarkable strategy, vision and execution in their respective businesses and organizations; those who are changing or can change the region’s development dynamics on several fronts. For the fourth time, this year PODER magazine will partner with the Americas Business Council to identify and award best practices in the region in social entrepreneurship, sustainability and peace that are producing systemic change in their own communities.

This year’s Conference topic is Women in Power and we will recognize women worldwide that are impacting and transforming our society and the world. These change makers and brave individuals have broken old paradigms in order to overcome numerous obstacles, materialize their vision and channel their energy towards the improvement of lives worldwide. These vibrant women have been at the forefront of social innovation by promoting social reform, addressing existing barriers to economic equality and strengthening education and health conditions; among many other extraordinary achievements that have been shaping our common future. Their efforts are redefining the role of women in our society today as well as empowering and inspiring generations of women to come.
